The Speech Company MN is now offering on-site consultations for businesses, organizations, and community programs that want to create inclusive, welcoming, and accessible environments for individuals of all abilities, particularly neurodivergent children and adults.


This service helps your business not only meet the needs of a wider audience but also stand out as a community leader in accessibility and inclusion.

How It Works

Step 1 — Discovery & Observation

  • Initial phone or video consultation to learn about your business, goals, and current challenges.
     
  • On-site tour of your facility (or virtual tour if out-of-state) to observe the environment, layout, and sensory considerations.
     
  • Attend one or two classes, sessions, or events to see the flow, communication styles, and engagement strategies in real time.
     

Step 2 — Customized Recommendations & Materials

  • Written report with practical, easy-to-implement suggestions for creating a sensory-friendly, neuroaffirming environment—tailored to your specific business model and clientele.
     
  • Creation of visual supports such as:
     
    • Core boards for communication access
       
    • What to Expect Aid
       
    • Social narratives to prepare participants for new experiences
       
    • “First–Then” boards, calm corner visuals, or sensory regulation charts
       
  • Suggestions for environmental modifications (lighting, seating, transitions, sensory tools, etc.).
     

Step 3 — Staff Training & Support

  • Interactive training session for staff on topics such as:
     
    • Understanding sensory processing differences
       
    • Neuroaffirming language and communication strategies
       
    • How to use visual supports effectively
       
    • Practical tools for de-escalation and co-regulation
       
  • Role-play and Q&A to ensure staff feels confident implementing strategies.
     
  • Optional follow-up check-in after 4–6 weeks to assess progress and answer questions.
