About Us
Our Story:
The Speech Company was founded by Emily Lawrence M.S., CCC-SLP in the spring of 2024. Emily received her undergraduate degree in Spanish and Communication Sciences and Disorders, she then continued her education at the University of River Falls where she received her masters in Speech Language Pathology.
Since graduating she embarked on her career in Tampa, FL where she worked under and was mentored by Casey Rovinski M.A., CCC-SLP the founder and owner of Speak Outside the Box. Casey is an industry lead in child-led, naturalistic, neurodivergent affirming practices. During Emily's time at SOTB she fostered a growing knowledge and love for child-led therapy. Making the move back to her home state of Minnesota she felt inspired and prepared to bring all of her experiences and passions to more families by founding the Speech Company.
